Journeys and Destinations
And so it begins. Between certainties and doubts, we carve out the landscape of our journey. Wending my way through the chaos of Andheri traffic, I am a corpuscle being led unwitting, without volition, through dark smog-filled arteries towards destinations I hope will lead me to Fede and Andreu and Agnes. The little sputtering cell I am travelling in takes a sudden turn to the left, up a steep incline, and the noise and chaos stops. I am at Vinalaya. A little oasis of quiet in a landscape of rickshaw fumes, bus horns and screaming vendors. Andreu is here. A little sleepy. Agnes is not. She missed her flight to Bombay and is still in transit in Istanbul. With luck, she will be here tomorrow morning. Between certainties and doubts we journey on.

What a fabulous odyssey you three are setting off on. And a noble one too... if ever there was a life that deserved documenting and celebration, it's Fr. Sopena's.
